TPF Law Solicitors: "First4Lawyers is very professional, well run and easy to deal with"

TPF Law Solicitors is a specialist personal injury firm based in Greater Manchester. We spoke to owner and managing director Tim Fowler about his experience on the First4Lawyers panel.

I initially got involved with First4Lawyers prior to the introduction of the Civil Liability Act reforms. Up until that point, our caseload was largely road traffic accidents, and we made the tactical decision quite early on to start running down that RTA work but were left with a decision about how to replace it.

We’d always had a healthy stream of occupiers’ liability, employers’ liability and public liability cases so growing those practice areas wasn’t a huge leap of faith for us. At that time, still mid-pandemic, there was a lot less of that work around, however, so we enlisted the help of First4Lawyers.  

I can honestly say that it has been a wholly positive experience. Since joining the panel three years ago, we have steadily increased the volume of work we receive, and I anticipate we will continue to do so. First4Lawyers deliver exactly what they say they will, and the leads are of a consistently high quality. They are also sourced ethically, which is an important factor for us.

By the time clients come to us, they are already very engaged in the process which makes our job a lot easier. The staff who put the calls through are largely the same staff who were putting calls through in 2021 and that kind of longevity shouldn’t be underestimated. It shows they’re good at what they do, but also that it’s a good place to work.

I have dealt with many claims management companies over the years with varying degrees of success. What I can say without any equivocation is that First4Lawyers is very professional, well run and easy to deal with. My day-to-day involvement with them is negligible and that works for me. I’m a busy practitioner and hands-on fee-earner and I want to be able to devote my time to client matters.

I particularly value their expertise in terms of digital marketing. We have tried things like pay-per-click advertising in the past, but it has never given us the same results. There’s a science to it and you need specialist knowledge that I and my colleagues don’t have.

I rely entirely on First4Lawyers and would even go as far as to say that I treat them as stakeholders in what we do here. We simply wouldn’t be where we are now if they hadn’t come on board.
