Who would have believed we’d still be talking about Covid as 2022 approaches? As we bid farewell to another unpredictable year, however, there’s been plenty to celebrate.

From launching our annual white paper as well as a brand new company and welcoming new additions to the First4Lawyers family, here’s just a snapshot of our professional and personal success stories from the last 12 months.

Our people

During 2021, we’ve welcomed 12 new faces to First4Lawyers and First4InjuryClaims, our new alternative business structure (ABS) set up to handle RTA claims.

Two of our longest-serving employees will testify what a lovely bunch we are – Shonagh, our quality control and audit lead, and Mel, assistant head of claims, each celebrated their 10-year work anniversaries with us in November.

The team’s efforts to retain First4Lawyers’ place as one of the UK’s top legal brands were also rewarded with thank you gifts from our directors. An unexpected but much-appreciated surprise!

We welcomed Jax, head of the claims team, back from maternity leave and also celebrated our MD Qamar and his wife becoming parents for the third time.

Head of marketing, Andy, meanwhile, is looking forward to the new year when he will tie the knot with fiancée Lisa, a trainee solicitor who started out at First4Lawyers. Well done to Andy who has also lost an impressive two-and-a-half stone in lockdown pounds in readiness for the big day!  

Our business

Good customer service was the focus of our seventh annual white paper ‘Making your customers happy’ which was published in October. We’re leading the way after recently celebrating our 13,000th Trustpilot review!

October was a busy month as it also marked the official launch of First4InjuryClaims, ensuring we can support RTA victims as well as strengthening our proposition to panel law firms.

We continue to be committed to helping law firms get the most out of their marketing and in February we launched the first of our marketing guides and resources for law firms. Since then we have published a whopping 44 guides and resources packed with our expert advice on everything from SEO and link building to social media and customer service.

Elsewhere, we retained our place as one of the top three legal brands in this year’s UK Legal Services Consumer Research Report. Our brand awareness stands at an enviable 55%, meaning more than half of consumers know who we are.

We were also delighted to be nominated again for Claims Management Company of the Year, which we have won a magnificent seven times previously, at this year’s Personal Injury Awards.

Goals for 2022

Fancy yourself as the next Pep Guardiola? You’ll have to get past our finance guys, Merton and Jason, first. The pair are currently sitting in the top four of our fantasy football league competition which is open to panel members as well. Clearly their love of spreadsheets and financial analysis is paying off when it comes to team selection!
