Celebrating 10 years with First4Lawyers, one of our longest standing team members, Donna Beevers reflects on the past decade…

Children in Needs’ Peter Kay medley was number one in the charts when our Head of Personnel, Donna Beevers, joined the First4Lawyers team in December 2009.

A decade ago, Donna, our Head of Personnel, came for an interview as a claims advisor and this week celebrates her 10th anniversary with us. She arrived straight from law school, and recalls that she genuinely thought her interview went “terribly and is still reminded of the experience by the managing director to this day”.

Clearly she did something to impress, and after being a claims advisor for almost five years she was promoted to a team leader, reflecting her hard work and outstanding contribution to the business. At the beginning of this year, she moved to a senior management position as the Head of Personnel, a newly created role reflecting the growth in the business.

Her journey over the last ten years hasn’t been without its ups and downs. Donna says: “First4Lawyers have supported me over the years through some of the best and most challenging times of my personal life. From helping me to get on the property ladder, the managing director helping me find a hairdresser for my wedding, to supporting me through the loss of a close relative. I can’t thank the directors and the team enough for their continued support over the years and for helping me get back to work, even at the most difficult times.”

Being responsible for personnel, Donna knows first-hand that team work and going the extra mile are not just instrumental to providing excellent customer service, but forms a large part of the internal culture of the business. As Donna mentions: “I have met some incredible people working at First4Lawyers, some of whom are now lifelong friends and I think that is one of the many reasons why I have worked at the company for 10 years now.”

Donna’s hard work and contribution to the business has not gone unnoticed, as she moved into a senior management role earlier this year and says she “feels proud to have helped thousands of customers with their claims over the years and looks forward to helping current and new members of the team settle into a company she believes in and is grateful to be a part of.”
