National Rollout for F4LPlus

Director of marketing, Andy Cullwick, gives an update on F4LPlus and what’s next for the ground-breaking platform.

Interest continues to grow in our new platform F4LPlus – so much so that after just four months we’re ready to roll it out nationally.

The online platform, which allows consumers to compare providers of conveyancing and wills and probate services, launched as a pilot involving 10 North West law firms earlier this year.

Since then, we have sent more than 2,000 qualified leads worth £1.5m to our firms. With almost half of those generated in May alone, we anticipate numbers will only increase as consumer awareness continues to grow.

Our pay-per-lead model has proved so successful for one firm that they have had to take on a dedicated member of staff to handle the leads we’re sending their way.

Conveyancing in particular is so popular, with an average of 11,000 people searching for services on the platform each month, that we are now inviting firms across the country to join the panel.

As well as price, F4LPlus allows consumers to compare information such as firms’ areas of expertise and online reviews from independent sites like Trustpilot.

We’re constantly looking at the data to see how we can improve the experience for consumers, with analysis so far showing that:

  • Consumers asking for conveyancing quotes are likely to need the service quickly, with 62% of those who used the platform needing a conveyancer immediately, rising to 81% if including those who needed one within the next month.
  • Cost is not the deciding factor, and, in fact, many consumers appear to have little idea of how much legal services should cost. A third of those said the quotes received were for less than they were expecting to pay.
  • Consumers like choice, which is why we’ve now increased the number of quotes they can request from five to 10 with the option to shortlist up to three.

Whilst distance does not appear to be a barrier to consumers choosing a provider, particularly when it comes to conveyancing, opening up the panel to firms nationwide will mean those who prefer to discuss matters in person will be able to find a provider local to them.
