First4Lawyers appoints new head of claims

Jacqueline Speight, head of claims at First4LawyersFirst4Lawyers, the UK’s largest independent legal marketing collective, has appointed Jacqueline Speight from Minster Law to a newly created role of head of claims.

A qualified solicitor with over ten years’ experience of handling personal injury cases, Jacqueline spent four years working at Minster Law, most recently as a complex case handler dealing with high value, complex injury and negligence claims in different aspects of personal injury such as RTA (road traffic accident), employers liability, public liability, occupiers' liability and industrial disease.

Prior to this Jacqueline spent six years at Halifax firm, Benjamin Roberts Solicitors, joining the firm as a paralegal and later qualifying as a solicitor.

Jacqueline is a graduate of the University of Huddersfield, where she undertook both her law degree and the Legal Practice Course.

In her new role as head of claims, Jacqueline will lead a team that handles over 200,000 enquiries per year, covering all aspects of personal injury and clinical negligence as well as other legal services.

Jacqueline’s appointment comes amid a period of significant growth for the marketing collective which has seen them generate 25% more claims across disciplines compared to the same period in 2017. Over the last twelve months their call handling team has also expanded by 10% and is currently being reviewed for further expansion.

Qamar Anwar, First4Lawyers’ managing director, says: “During what is a particularly tricky time for those operating in the personal injury sector, demand for legal services remains high and we are seeing continued growth with a 48% increase in web traffic and a 36% increase in the number of enquiries we are generating.

“Jacqueline’s appointment reflects the demand the business is experiencing and allows us to ensure we provide the highest levels of service without compromising on quality to our panel firms, and ultimately consumers.”
